I was there for set 1, and to be honest the setting was pretty awkward. I'm sitting there loving every second hearing, watching, and learning (I sat behind Chick) yet everyone else seemed to have a blank star. It was like everyone else had the mindset, "Oh another jazz great is in town, let's observe" but didn't appreciate everything that Chick put into his performance, writing, etc. No one even got up to shake your hand or say thank you (I wanted to but couldn't get up in time). Chick, if you ever, ever see this, I'm sorry that you had to endure the snobs of Baltimore. They clearly don't care or understand nearly as much as I do. Keep weaving your excellence in theory, passion, and the improvisational multiverse and I will continue to be effortlessly inspired.

This was such an amazing "GIFT" .
To be able to experience people's pursuit of mastery over not only their instrument, but also their ability to convey an "emotional expression through sound".

My deepest appreciation to Chic Corea / Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Jazz Orchestra for giving us "access" to this wonderful performance.

Hi Bernie!!! what mics are you using in the video??? do you use them all the time? or do you change mics eventually? do you use different mics for live or studio? why? what mics are you using for the "VIGIL" recording? what Software and Converters? I know there are a lot of questions but I´ve always loved the way your recordings sound, and would like to learn more about it!!! !!! THANK YOU BERNIE!!!
